What We Do

Bookkeeping that thinks ahead, not just keeps up

Most accountants treat bookkeeping as a chore to clear before year-end. AccTek treats it as the foundation of a real-time finance function. Your transactions flow into Xero, our AI Finance Lab categorises and analyses them as they happen, and your qualified accountant reviews the books continuously — not once a year.

The result: clean books, real-time visibility, fewer surprises, and tax savings you would otherwise miss.

Capabilities

What’s included in AccTek bookkeeping

A complete service — not a partial handover. Everything your business needs to stay accurate, compliant and decision-ready.

Automated bank feeds

Transactions flow into Xero directly from your business bank account, credit card and payment providers — no manual exports, no missed entries.

Receipt & expense capture

Snap a photo with Hubdoc or Xero on your phone — AI extracts the data and matches it to the right transaction automatically.

Reconciliation & categorisation

Our AI proposes the right category, VAT rate and ledger code for every transaction. Your accountant reviews exceptions and signs off.

Monthly management reports

P&L, balance sheet, cash position and KPIs — delivered every month, not just at year-end. Know where you stand, in real time.

Sales invoicing & AR

Branded invoices, automated reminders and accounts-receivable tracking — so you get paid on time without chasing manually.

Catch-up bookkeeping

Years behind? We’ll bring your books up to date and Making Tax Digital compliant — with a fixed quote and clear timeline.

Built on Xero

The Xero advantage, amplified by AI

AccTek is a Xero partner. We use Xero because it gives you (and us) a single source of truth, real-time bank feeds, mobile receipt capture and an open ecosystem of apps. Then our AI Finance Lab adds an intelligence layer on top — surfacing tax savings, deadlines and anomalies your accountant would otherwise spot only at year-end.

Not on Xero yet? Migration and setup are included free as part of new-client onboarding.

FAQs

Cloud Bookkeeping — Common Questions

What is cloud bookkeeping?
Cloud bookkeeping means your accounting records live on a secure cloud platform — in AccTek’s case, Xero — rather than on a local computer or in spreadsheets. Bank feeds, receipts, invoices and reports all sync in real time, so you and your accountant work from the same up-to-date data. For UK businesses, cloud bookkeeping is also how you stay compliant with Making Tax Digital (MTD) for VAT and Income Tax.
Is Xero included in the price?
Yes. Your Xero subscription is included in every AccTek bookkeeping package, along with Hubdoc receipt capture. There is no separate software bill to worry about.
How is this different from a traditional bookkeeper?
A traditional bookkeeper processes transactions manually, usually retrospectively. AccTek combines AI-assisted reconciliation (faster, more consistent, fewer errors) with qualified review (real judgment, real accountability). You also get the AI Finance Lab’s real-time dashboards, proactive alerts and tax intelligence on top — not just clean books, but better decisions.
I’m behind on my books — can you help?
Yes. Catch-up bookkeeping is one of our most common engagements. We’ll quote a fixed fee to bring you up to date and MTD-compliant, then move you onto a monthly subscription. Most catch-up projects take two to four weeks depending on volume.
How long does it take to switch from my current bookkeeper or QuickBooks?
For most businesses, full migration from QuickBooks, Sage or another provider takes one to two weeks. We handle the data migration, chart-of-accounts setup, bank feed configuration and historical balance reconciliation. You keep working — the switch is invisible.
How much does cloud bookkeeping cost?
AccTek pricing is based on transaction volume, complexity (VAT scheme, payroll, multi-currency) and the level of reporting you need. The simplest packages start from a low monthly fee and include Xero, bookkeeping and an annual review. Get an instant quote in under two minutes, or book a free consultation for a tailored proposal.
